THEME OF THE PRESENTATION

Mr Kozel's presentation will cover the impact of the Internet Revolution on learning, teaching, training in the 21st Century. Specifically, Mr Kozel will discuss how the Internet is changing the way education and training is provisioned and how the 'economics' of education are likely to change due to the impact of the Internet.

Incidently, Cisco has recently launched its Cisco Networking Academies programme in Europe and we would like to propose that part of the presentation covers the aims and objectives of this programme. The Cisco Networking Academies programme is a new venture between the education sector and Cisco. It brings into play the advantages of networked learning as education and training become self directed, individually paced, continuous and reflective.

This initiative, which was started in the U.S. over a year ago, has seen tremendous support from academic institutions worldwide and is an excellent example of how the network is the engine behind this new Internet-enabled world for education.
