Curriculum Vitae

Professor Krämer is heading the Chair of Data Processing Technology of FernUniversität in Hagen. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of his university. He is actively involved in a range of scientific associations and institutions including: chairman of the Scientific Academy for Service Technology (ServTech), member of FTK, a research institute in the field of telecommunications, founder and board member of IEEG, an initiative aiming at education on the effective use of energy in buildings, member of the ICSOC steering committee, member of the board of directors of the Society for Design & Process Science, whose president he was from 2001 - 2006, member of the advisory board of the ICT International Doctorate School of the University of Trento and of the Research Grants Council in Hong Kong. He chaired various international conferences und program committees and was a keynote speaker at international conferences. He studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. He holds a diploma degree and a doctorate in computer science, both from the Technical University of Berlin.

He was a senior scientist of GMD, Sankt Augustin, Germany, an adjunct professor at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, a visiting professor at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, at McGill University, Montreal, and at the University of California, Berkeley, and on the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering of Monash Unversity in Melbourne.
