"Integrating Modern Business Applications with Objectified Legacy Systems" investigates a methodology for designing configurable business applications in terms of wrapped legacy systems. The methodology blends scientifically validated research from various domains, such as distributed object technology, specification matching, information retrieval, reverse engineering and meta-modeling. It is illustrated and partially validated by a field experiment that was conducted at the Dutch Department of Defense. This methodology is supported by the prototypical implementation of a toolset.
