The project "New Statistics" aimed at developing a new, multimedia-based form of learning and teaching statistics. The project output, partly already available in English, is in use at 10 German universities.

Multimedia project "Descriptive Statistics and Exploratory Data Analysis"

Within this project a kind of animated textbook on descriptive statistics has been developed (CD-ROM with detailed accompanying booklet; University of Hagen / Fachbuch Verlag Leipzig, Germany, 5th edition 2004).

Responsability for both projects at the German University of Hagen

Both multimedia projects have been running at the University of Hagen, Germany, under the responsibility of Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Mittag, and in close co-operation with the Chair for Computer Sciences I at the University of Hagen, working group E-Learning.
