The FernUniversität would like to help refugees in Germany and support their integration. A degree through distance learning is flexible and mobile for people that are eligible to study. Under certain prerequisites one can enrol directly into a degree or initially enrol as a guest student and take individual courses (Akademiestudium).

Staff at the FernUniversität can give advice, verify overseas certificates and inform the refugees about essential German courses. All distance learning programmes at the university are in German!

All available offers from the FernUniversität are summarized on this website. This website will be supplemented further in the future.

The contact information can be found below.

General educational guidance

The student counselling service advises the refugees and explains which prerequisites the FernUniversität has for enrolment and how a degree via distance learning works. They can also help with legal questions regarding enrolment. The consultation deals with how the degree programme is organized and financed. Refugees can also collect information themselves at the many regional student centres in Germany. This means that the FernUniversität still remains reachable if you move to another residence.
