Enquiries into the social structure
of a society are interesting not merely for sociology,
but for the general public. The course treats the social
structure of the old Federal Republic, as well as the
GDR on an empirical basis, and shows perspectives of social
change in reunified Germany. In the centre stand changes
in the structure of social apathy, while especially the
connections with the developmental tendencies in the areas
of family, education system, labour, and politics are
developed.
