Teresa has been an external doctoral student at the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Information Management at the FernUniversität in Hagen since August 2022 and is part of the Quality-Centred E-Government project team as part of the Work - Education - Digitalisation research focus.

After her bachelor's degree in information-oriented business administration in Augsburg, she completed a master's degree in management at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart. During her studies, she gained practical experience in product management at Robert Bosch GmbH and in auditing at PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH WPG.

In 2014, she started her professional career as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH WPG in Stuttgart in the area of IT and process auditing & consulting. Her responsibilities included the planning, coordination and execution of IT and process audits as part of the annual audit, as well as, on the other hand, consultancy activities during the year as part of process conversions and the implementation of accounting standards.

From 2016 to 2019, she worked as a research assistant at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. At the Chair of Controlling / Performance Management, she was responsible for setting up a Performance Management Academy for practice partners and external interested parties, carrying out editorial activities within the framework of the Journal of Controlling, the areas of teaching and auditing, as well as the selection and management of student employees.

After her parental leave, she moved to the Federal University of Public Administration, Department of Armed Forces Administration, in Mannheim in 2020. There she is involved in teaching in the area of general business administration.

Teresa's research activities deal with the public sector. Her research focuses on quality-centred e-government and digital leadership.
