On 30 September and 1 October 2019, the 2nd German Doctoral Colloquium Bioenergy took place at the Energy Campus Nuremberg (EnCN). The event was geared towards young scientists in Germany, who focus on the topic bioenergy in their doctorate in different scientific disciplines. The emphasis of the presented content lied on the umbrella topics “Thermochemical Conversion”, “Biochemical Conversion”, “Biorefineries / Biofuels”, “Energy crop production and -utilization” and “System analysis bioenergy”. At the event, project staff member Katrin Beer presented first results of her work on a policy database with German and European bioenergy policies in a poster presentation.
