Presentation of the project “Bio-Ecopoly” at the conference “Biomass to Power and Heat 2018” in Zittau

With a focus on the energetic use of woody biomass project team member Katrin Beer from the OVGU Magdeburg (case group bioenergy) presented the research project Bio-Ecopoly at the conference "Biomass to Power and Heat 2018" in Zittau. In addition to political processes in the area of ​​power and heat generation from biomass, technical system solutions as well as the use of residual materials and biochar for energy generation were discussed at the conference. The focus was on the question of how coal power plants can be replaced by decentralized renewable energy plants in an environmentally sound and economical manner. The conference was held on 6th and 7th June 2018 under the auspices of the Minister for the Environment and Agriculture of Saxony at the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz.
