Invitation to a virtual fireside chat with Tilman Krösche, Head of IT HAWK: "Boosting IT@University: Citizen Development, Diversity and AI"

[31.10.2023]

Dear students,

We are pleased to welcome you to another guest lecture in the winter semester 2023/24.

On Tuesday, November 7, 18:00 - 19:30, we will discuss the topics with Tilmann Krösche in a virtual fireside chat:

"Boosting IT@University: Citizen Development, Diversity and AI"

Tilmann Krösche is Head of IT at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen (HAWK) and Chairman of LANIT, the network of central IT at universities in Lower Saxony. He received his diploma in business informatics from the TU Braunschweig in 2009.

After an introductory lecture by our guest on the context of "IT at the university", the academic staff of the chair will give brief impulses on the chair's current research work in the areas of citizen development, diversity and artificial intelligence.

The aim of the subsequent discussion is to explore perspectives for research and practice in these exciting areas.

Our key questions are, for example:

  • How can low-code/no-code platforms be used by so-called citizen developers to simplify processes and relieve the burden on IT?
  • How can diversity be increased and more women attracted to IT?
  • What opportunities and risks arise from the use of artificial intelligence in a university?

The event will take place as a Teams Webinar Zoom and will leave room for your questions.

Register now HERE and join the discussion, it's worth it!

The webinar is aimed in particular at students enrolled in the Introduction to Information Systems, Information Management, IT Governance and Business/IT Alignment modules.

We look forward to your participation and a lively discussion.
