The B*IMA Chair at ICOIS 2026 in Mannheim

[24.06.2026]

The B*IMA Chair was represented at the International Conference on the Outsourcing of Information Services (ICOIS 2026) in Mannheim. The conference brought together leading researchers in the field of IT sourcing and this year’s theme was ‘Sourcing in the Era of Digital Agents’.

As part of the conference, Tobias Golz presented the research paper ‘A Governance-Oriented Mapping for Information Security Risks in IT Outsourcing: A Systematic Literature Review’ co-authored with Prof. Winkler. Based on a systematic literature review, the study develops a governance-oriented framework for classifying information security risks in IT outsourcing and demonstrates that responsibility for information security is maintained at all levels of governance, even when IT services are outsourced.

The paper will be published in the ICOIS 2026 conference proceedings by Springer. The conference also offered a wide range of opportunities for academic exchange with international researchers in the fields of IT sourcing and information systems.
