Summer Seminar with Reviewer Workshop by Edgar Whitley

[18.08.2022]

The B*IMA-Chair looks back on an intensive and instructive summer seminar together with our friends and colleagues from the research group of Prof. Daniel Fuerstenau at the Charité in Berlin.

In a workshop on “How to be an effective reviewer” virtually facilitated by Edgar Whitley, Associate Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE, the PhD students and junior faculty learned and reflected about what makes a good review(er), why it is worth to engage in reviewing, and how the review process works from the journal's perspective.

In addition, all participants presented their current research projects and gave each other constructive feedback.

On the evening of the first day, we had a cosy summer party filled with good conversation, drinks, food and games.

A big thank you to Edgar Whitley for joining us and to everyone else who made this seminar a success!
