B*IMA Offsite and Doctoral Seminar in Berlin

[06.05.2022]

The B*IMA team looks back on a successful "Digital Government and Digital Health Theme Week" in Berlin.

Together, we attended the "Digital State" conference to hear many presentations and panels and get an honest assessment of the current state of government digitization in Germany.

At the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, we gained insights into the inner workings of one of the most important federal agencies and were able to learn first-hand about digitization, process management, and the Online Access Act.

For our quarterly doctoral seminar, we met at the beautiful Berlin campus and discussed our ongoing research.

We were also pleased to have a personal visit from Tobias Manner-Romberg, who gave a talk on "Digital Health Applications in Practice - When will research follow?".

We concluded with a virtual guest lecture by Christiane Lehrer, Professor at CBS in Denmark, on "The Interplay Between Self-Leadership and IT-based Leadership: How Wearables Lead to Behavioral Change", kindly organized by our colleagues Dr. Katharina Ebner and Prof. Stefan Smolnik.

We thank all participants who contributed to the success of our theme week!

More impressions from our theme week can be found on our social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram).
