PhD students from the B*IMA Chair at the Business Informatics Conference in Linz

At this year’s Business Informatics Conference WI 2026 in Linz, members of B*IMA presented their latest research findings and exchanged ideas with the international business informatics community.


Three contributions from B*IMA’s research are particularly noteworthy:


Jennifer Strauß, together with Prof. Dr Till Winkler, presented the paper “Towards Digital Infrastructure Debt: A Systematic Review of Technical and Non-Technical Debt Types in Information Systems”. The paper examines various forms of technical and non-technical ‘debt’ in digital infrastructures.


Jonas Fränzl, together with Prof. Dr Till Winkler and Prof. Dr Christian Au, presented the paper ‘Delegating the Deal: A Review of AI-based Systems in Buyer-Supplier Negotiations’. The focus is on the use of AI-based systems in negotiations between companies.


Mustapha Addam was a co-author of the paper ‘A Comprehensive Taxonomy of Digital Care Applications in Elderly Care’, which develops a comprehensive classification of digital applications in elderly care.
WI 2026 offered numerous opportunities for professional exchange, the presentation of current research and networking with the international business informatics community.
