The ZBW’s Open Science Magazine has published an interview with Prof. Dr. Winkler on the connection between artificial intelligence and open science. In it, he explains how AI is transforming scientific work and why it is increasingly proving to be an unexpected driver of open science practices.

Among other topics, the interview addresses the role of generative AI in research and teaching, new requirements for transparency and traceability of scientific results, and the opportunities and challenges for open science in the age of intelligent assistance systems.
