Jennifer Strauß has been an external doctoral candidate at the Chair of Business Administration, specialising in Information Management, at the FernUniversität in Hagen since December 2025.

As part of her doctoral studies, she is investigating issues relating to digital transformation in the healthcare sector. Her research focuses on the measurability of technical and non-technical debt in hospital IT management and its impact on efficiency and strategic decision-making processes. In addition to her research activities, she assists with the supervision of seminar papers and theses.

After training as a medical laboratory assistant (MTLA) she worked in microbiology for several years. She then completed alongside their work a bachelor's degree in business psychology and a master's degree in economics. She has extensive professional experience in IT management and consulting, which she now contributes to and further develops in her research.

Her scientific interests include digital transformation, IT management and change management in public administration and healthcare.
