Saeid Jorfi is currently a guest researcher in Digital Health at the chair of information management at University of Hagen, Germany.

He received his PhD in IT Management in 2015 from the University of Technology Malaysia, jointly with the University of Nebraska, Omaha (USA). He has published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed Information Systems journals and conferences on topics such as IT-business strategic alignment, IT capability, IT flexibility, Information systems success, Customer satisfaction, and Communication effectiveness. His recent research and industry consulting appointments have led him to research more into the areas of digital health, digital business, and digital transformation.

Dr. Jorfi has over 15 years of teaching experience in several universities, including Shahid Beheshti University, Iran where he has taught graduate-level courses in Advanced MIS, Business Intelligence, IT & Entrepreneurship, e-Government, Research Methodology, International Business and Small Business Management. In addition, he has supervised more than 40 master’s and bachelor’s theses.

Dr. Jorfi has always been on the verge of research and practice. Since 2010 and in parallel to his research and teaching activities, he has held multiple managing roles in different fields of the banking sector including Statistics and Business Data Analytics, IT Management, Applied Research, Marketing and e-banking. Amongst other honors, he has been awarded Best Researcher of the Iranian Banks and Monetary Financial Institutions for his interdisciplinary research engagements. He has acquired rich experiences in various projects related to Business data analytics, Data mining, Data warehouse, Data governance, Information systems, Digital transformation, e-banking services and Marketing, Mobile banking, and Business process Management. Recently, he gained experience with healthcare information systems as a consultant in hospitals and digital health startups.
