Dr. Björn Binzer combines academic research with extensive practical experience in digital transformation. After successfully completing his Ph.D. in Information Management, he currently serves as Senior Manager Digitalization & Customer Experience at BASF, where he drives digital transformation, automation, and employee enablement initiatives in a global business environment.

His research and professional interests focus on Citizen Development, Low-Code/No-Code technologies, employee empowerment, Business-IT collaboration, and the successful management of digital transformation processes. In particular, he is interested in how organizations can empower employees to leverage digital technologies independently for innovation, automation, and the continuous improvement of business processes.

By closely connecting academic research with industry practice, he aims to translate scientific insights into actionable recommendations for organizations while simultaneously using real-world challenges from corporate environments to advance research. His work has been published in leading international journals and conference proceedings.”
