Anna is a researcher and PhD candidate at FernUniversität in Hagen. She holds a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy from the University of Kassel. Her research explores how universities communicate diversity, and how these messages and policies impact students’ perceptions and sense of belonging – among marginalized and non-marginalized groups. Using experiments and qualitative methods, she aims to understand both institutional and student perspectives on diversity, with the goal of promoting educational equity in higher education.

Funding

From January 2024 to March 2026, her doctoral research is funded by the Program for female professorship of the German Federal Republic and States (Professorinnenprogramm III des Bundes und der Länder).
