December 2025: Successful doctorate for Hendrik Becker

We are delighted that Hendrik Becker has successfully completed his doctorate! Two chapters of his dissertation entitled "The economics of CBDC: The effects of a central bank digital currency on the monetary financial system" have already been published. Prof. Dr. Rainer Baule and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Matthias Westphal acted as additional examiners.

November 2025: New publication in "Macroeconomic Dynamics"

The article "Global financial cycle, media coverage, and currencies of emerging markets" co-authored by Joscha Beckmann and Joseph Agyapong has been accepted for publication in the journal "Macroeconomic Dynamics".
