February 2026: Godwin Ezekoye successfully completes his PhD

Godwin Ezekoye has successfully completed his PhD in Economics at Sapienza Università di Roma. Joscha Beckmann served as his supervisor.

His thesis, “Essays on Foreign Exchange Intervention, Expectations, and Media Sentiment”, examines the influence of central bank interventions and media coverage on exchange rate expectations.

December 2025: Successful doctorate for Hendrik Becker

We are delighted that Hendrik Becker has successfully completed his doctorate! Two chapters of his dissertation entitled "The economics of CBDC: The effects of a central bank digital currency on the monetary financial system" have already been published. Prof. Dr. Rainer Baule and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Matthias Westphal acted as additional examiners.
