As the Chair of Human-Computer Interaction is financed exclusively by public sources, one way of knowledge transfer - the transfer of research achievements to society - is realized by launching reports on research results via the internet and other mass media. Especially in the field of computer science, where patents are no possibility, the publication of open source software constitutes another way of giving back to the public what belongs to the public.
