Description:

The course being developed will use a regional approach to the analysis of international relations. The specific patterns of regional conflict and cooperation will be analysed in the light of the historical-sociological genesis of states in the region and ruling elites’ position as mediators between international constraints and domestic positions of dominance. The idea is also to connect the study of regionalised international politics to results of both global history and area studies research.
