MOOC
MOOC is the term for Massive Open Online Course and offers since its first appearance in the year 2008 new possibilities within the scope of teaching and learning.
In Spring/Summer 2013 we have started in this area with two MOOC-pilots. You can find out more about the two MOOC-pilots and the “MOOC Mania” in the “eLearning Journal”, Edition Annual 2013.
dMOOC
- The dMOOC “Interdisziplinärer Diskurs zur digitalen Gesellschaft” (#iddg13; Interdisciplinary Discourse to Digital Society) came into existence through the collaboration of all four faculties at the FernUniverstiät in Hagen and was addressed to all our distance students.
Prof. Dr. Theo J. Bastiaens introduces into the dMOOC with the keynote speech “Neues Lernen – Neue Lehre? Der Homo Zappiens an der Uni” (New Learning – New Teaching? cMOOC
- The subsequent cMOOC “Entdecke die Insel der Forschung” (#exif13; Discover the Island of Research) was addressed to all interested persons netwide. The topic of the cMOOC was “Academic Research and Writing” and served the purpose to support the development of students research skills.
