LWDA Conference Würzburg
[12.11.2024]At the LWDA conference (Lernen, Wissen, Daten, Analysen), held in Würzburg from 15 to 23 September 2024, the Data Science Chair was represented with three contributions.
Ms. Linxen opened the Databases track with her paper “Data Storytelling for Univariate Time Series in Automotive Sensor Data”, showcasing various methods of data presentation developed in collaboration with monalysis for the Durability Transfer process.
On the following day, Prof. Beecks presented his research in the Business Intelligence and Analytics track with the paper “Towards Data Pooling in AI Projects: Opportunities and Challenges”, addressing the potentials and obstacles of data pooling in artificial intelligence projects.
Subsequently, Ms. Holtkemper presented findings from her expert survey on risks in data science projects in her paper “Survey-Based Evaluation of Risks in Data Science Projects: Insights from a Literature Review and Considerations for Generative AI”. She concluded with a discussion with the audience about the practical challenges that data science projects face in real-world applications.
