Short biography

Jan David Hüwel studied mathematics at the WWU Münster and is now working on the GAIA project - Gaussian Processes for Automatic and Interpretable Anomaly Detection. Specifically, he is working on efficient covariance function search methods for Gaussian processes on data streams. The application of Gaussian process models for anomaly detection is another of his research areas. In this research, the efficiency and interpretability of the models are in the foreground.

Research areas

  • Gaussian processes
  • Data Stream Processing
  • Knowledge discovery on time series data
