With great success, the first Global Economic Policy Group Meeting since the start of the Covid-19-pandemic was held. The event was jointly organized by the University of Westminster in London and the FernUniveristät in Hagen and took place at the regional campus of the FernUniversität in Berlin. On the 27th and 28th of June, fifteen speakers from eight different universities presented their research on topics related to macroeconomic politics, globalization, integration and trade (the program can be found here). During the 2-day-workshop, Plutarchos Sakellaris (Athens University of Economics and Business) and Christoph Görtz (University of Birmingham) delivered the two keynotes. Organizers Karen Jackson (University of Westminster) and Hans-Jörg Schmerer (FernUniversität in Hagen) announced that the 2023 edition of the workshop will take place in London. We are looking forward to meeting everyone again next year!
