Presentation of research project „Move First, Lose Later? Evidence of a Second-Mover Advantage in Professional Ice Hockey“
[02.09.2025]Hendrik Sonnabend presented a current research project entitled ‘Move First, Lose Later? Evidence of a Second-Mover Advantage in Professional Ice Hockey’ at the 16th ESEA Conference on Sport Economics 2025 in Innsbruck. The study (in collaboration with Mario Lackner, University of Linz, and Sam Hoey, University of Rotterdam) tests game theory predictions about the second-mover advantage in competitions using field data from professional ice hockey.
