[01.11.2025]

Exchange, outlook, and new ideas for research and teaching

From September 29 to October 1, 2025, this year's closed-door meeting took place at our Berlin campus. This provided us with an ideal environment to gain new ideas together and strengthen team cohesion.

All AI?! - Using artificial intelligence in research

After arriving and enjoying a relaxed get-together in the hotel lobby, we officially started the conference the next day. First on the agenda were reports and exchange rounds from the various areas of work - a good opportunity to bring each other up to date and discover synergies.

A special item on the agenda was the workshop on “Künstlicher Intelligenz in der Forschung" (Artificial Intelligence in Research), where various AI tools and possible applications were presented and tested in practice. The day ended with a relaxed dinner together.

The House of Futures

On October 1, we explored innovative teaching formats, then visited Futurium – the House of Futures – where we were inspired by visions of the future on topics such as sustainable urban development and the extraction of sustainable resources, such as rare earths.

Overall, the closed-door meeting provided valuable opportunities for exchange, reflection, and joint brainstorming. The meeting was an enriching experience for the entire team, both in terms of content and on a personal level and was therefore a complete success.
