Who are they and what do they do? We are talking about the people who work at e-learning centres in universities. This is a group that is considered to be very important in the context of the digitalisation of universities, but about which little empirical knowledge is available. This research project focuses on the modus operandi of these employees. The aim is to identify their perspective on their own professional activities. Methodologically, the documentary method is used and data is collected through group discussions. Sampling focuses on universities of applied sciences (HAWs). Due to the structural peculiarities of HAWs, digitisation is discussed as a particular challenge in this context.
