Deep Learning and Applications

Phayung Meesad was graduated in Master of Science and Doctoral of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, USA in 1998 and 2002, respectively. He is now an Associate Professor and Dean at the Faculty of Information Technology, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand. His research of interests are in the area of Data Mining, Data Science, Deep Learning, Time Series Analysis, and Natural Language Processing.
Keynote Prof. Dr. Chunrong Yuan,
University of Applied Sciences Cologne (TH Köln):

Mobile Autonomous Systems: Sensing, Reasoning and Acting
Picture from Prof. Yuan Chunrong Yuan is a professor at the Department of Information, Media and Electrical Engineering at TH Köln (Technische Hochschule Köln), where she heads the Autonomous Systems Lab. She received B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering and M.Sc. in Pattern Recognition & Intelligent Control, both from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Ph.D. in Computer Vision from University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2004. Before joining TH Köln, she has been a lecturer and group leader at the Chair for Cognitive Neuroscience, University of Tübingen. She has hold research positions at Fraunhofer Institute of Applied Information Technology in Sankt Augustin, the Chair for Pattern Recognition at University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, and the Institute for Image Processing & Pattern Recognition at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her main research interests are Computer and Robot Vision, especially in the areas of autonomous navigation of unmanned vehicles, 3D motion/structure estimation and reconstruction, multi-view and multi-modal sensor fusion and mapping, machine learning and human-robot collaboration. As a principal investigator and project leader, she has taken part in several framework programs of the European Commission as well as research programs funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research. She is a member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.
