Mobile Autonomous Systems: Sensing, Reasoning and Acting

Chunrong Yuan is a professor at the Department of Information, Media and Electrical Engineering at TH Köln (Technische Hochschule Köln), where she heads the Autonomous Systems Lab. Her main research interests are Computer and Robot Vision, especially in the areas of autonomous navigation of unmanned vehicles, 3D motion/structure estimation and reconstruction, multi-view and multi-modal sensor fusion and mapping, machine learning and human-robot collaboration. As a principal investigator and project leader, she has taken part in several framework programs of the European Commission as well as research programs funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research. She is a member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.

Phayung Meesad was graduated in Master of Science and Doctoral of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, USA in 1998 and 2002, respectively. He is now an Associate Professor and Dean at the Faculty of Information Technology, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand. His research of interests are in the area of Data Mining, Data Science, Deep Learning, Time Series Analysis, and Natural Language Processing.
