In my research, I focus on societal transformation processes in the face of global challenges such as the climate crisis, social inequality, and advancing technologization and digitalization.
A particular emphasis is placed on questions of sustainability, (de-)globalization, and democratic planning, as well as on how transformative educational processes can contribute to shaping more just and sustainable societies. I am particularly interested in alternative schools of thought—such as posthumanist, postcolonial, and feminist approaches—that help to broaden existing perspectives and open up new paths for action.
To explore new ways of seeing and understanding the world, I deliberately incorporate not only cultural and social science theories but also turn to literary-cultural phenomena (such as novels, films, etc.). These open up additional spaces of experience and interpretation and enrich academic discourse with creative impulses for societal change.
