A bachelor’s degree (B.A./Bachelor of Arts or B.Sc./Bachelor of Science) is the first professional degree. It is also the first academic degree of a tiered higher education program leading ultimately to a doctorate. Unfortunately, enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program is not possible with a technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur).

How does the bachelor’s program at FernUniversität work?
A bachelor’s program at FernUniversität in Hagen combines academic excellence with maximum flexibility. The programs are structured in modules and lead to a “Bachelor of Arts” (B.A.), “Bachelor of Science” (B.Sc.), or “Bachelor of Laws” (LL.B.) degree. Admission is open to all applicants without a numerus clausus, including professionally qualified individuals without a high school diploma. The program can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis, with digital learning formats forming the core of the curriculum.
