Re-registering

Would you like to continue your studies at the FernUniversität in Hagen next semester? If so, don’t forget to re-register in good time. The corresponding applications will be activated within the deadlines specified below.
When can I re-register?
- Summer semester: 1 December – 31 January
- Winter semester: 1 June – 31 July

It’s easy to re-register for your previous degree program/student status or academic studies via studyPort. As soon as you have re-registered, you can also register online for the modules you want to take in the new semester.

If you would like to change your previous degree program and/or student status when re-registering, please note your change requests on the PDF re-registration application and then send it to the Registrar’s Office by e-mail or alternatively by post:

If you are currently an Open Access Studies student and would like to enroll in a degree program when you re-register, please fill out the PDF re-registration application and send it together with your proof of eligibility to study by e-mail to the Registrar’s Office or alternatively by post:

I missed the deadline – what do I do now?
Late re-registration (with late fees) is possible during these periods:
- Summer semester: 1 February – 15 February
- Winter semester: 1 August – 15 August
Late re-registration in justified cases of hardship
If you were unable to re-register within the above-mentioned deadlines due to a personal hardship situation, you can apply for re-registration within the following periods upon presentation of appropriate evidence.
- Summer semester: 16 February – 31 March
- Winter semester: 16 August – 30 September
