English Learning Support

At English Learning Support we offer four courses in Advanced Academic English:
- English for Humanities and Social Sciences
- English for Psychology
- English for Business and Economics
- English for Maths and Computer Science
All of the above are self-paced courses that take around 150 hours to work through. Through video lectures, interviews, readings, exercises and quizzes, students get to build their vocabulary skills. An online assessment is offered periodically for those who would like to earn a bespoke certificate. As these courses do not cover grammar, per se, participants need to have attained at least B2 on the CEFR scale in order to gain the most from the courses.
Additional Support from ELS
-
We run three IELTS Preparation courses - B1, B2 and C1 - presented via Zoom, with a teacher and up to ten students.
-
Both current and prospective students wishing to register for the IELTS exam which is administered by the British Council may do so directly via our link.
-
We also offer a course in Intercultural Communication. It takes around 15 hours to work through the material, and students who successfully complete the quizzes may download an autogenerated certificate.
-
Our free Open Moodle course on Collaborative Online International Learning is primarily for teachers and academics who would like to integrate this methodology into their curricula.
