Digital representations of memory and history

In the digital age the fear of amnesia has been replaced by the "right to be forgotten“, which now appears as one of the key rights. Cyber memorials and digital "places of memory", the gamification of history and the digitization of images of witnesses to a traumatic past are relatively new phenomena. In our seminar we will analyze how representations of history and memory have changed in the digital age and how forms of representation of the past are being transformed at the personal and collective level.
