New issue of the European Journal of University Lifelong Learning (EJULL) published

On 24 July 2026, the new issue of the EJULL journal (10(1) 2026) was published as open access, focusing on University lifelong learning (LLL) in the age of AI.

Universities are increasingly embracing lifelong learning, digital transformation, and AI, but many still lack the structures needed to support adult learners effectively.

Experts argue that lifelong learning should become a core institutional mission, supported by flexible study options, recognition of prior learning, and inclusive access pathways.

At the same time, AI is changing the role of universities. As knowledge becomes more accessible through digital tools, institutions must focus less on delivering information and more on helping learners critically assess, apply, and evaluate knowledge in an AI-driven world.
