Learning Analytics Conference Sets the Stage for the Future

Save the Date: CATALPA and LEAD:FUH invite you to the conference “Empowering Learning Analytics – Building a Transparent Data Culture for the Future.

On November 2 and 3, the CATALPA Research Center and the LEAD:FUH project at FernUniversität in Hagen will bring together research and practice on the topic of learning analytics. Under the theme “Empowering Learning Analytics,” researchers, university administrators, innovators, and faculty members will discuss the next steps toward a transparent and sustainable data culture. There will also be inspiring insights from experienced keynote speakers who already combine research and practice at their institutions.

With over 80,000 online students, FernUni offers the ideal platform for research in the field of learning analytics. In addition to numerous exciting presentations from the international learning analytics community, the conference will also demonstrate how innovative research directly informs teaching and how sustainable change processes can transform the higher education landscape. The findings from Hagen are intended to serve as a blueprint for universities throughout Germany.

CATALPA and LEAD:FUH as hosts

The CATALPA and LEAD:FUH at the FernUniversität in Hagen are collaborating on learning analytics from the perspectives of research and practical higher education innovation. Building on learning analytics pilot projects from their research, they are now implementing the new teaching architecture with interim evaluations across the entire FernUniversität, thereby providing scalable insights for the higher education landscape.
