Thema des Vortrags wird sein: Contributions to the Diffusion on Graphs and Networks

Zusammenfassung:

The present thesis deals with the diffusion on graphs and networks. More precisely, the heat kernel induced by the heat equation on metric as well as combinatorial graphs is studied in terms of its regularity properties as well as its integrated versions such as the heat content or the torsional rigidity. We investigate the interplay between the behaviour of diffusion processes and the geometry of the underlying graph through this three quantities. Moreover, so-called spectral comparison results are presented which allow for the comparison of the spectra of two different Schrödinger operators induced by vertex conditions of similar type.
